The Style Rookie/Self-constructed-freak/Who's That Girl?

 

 

It's a shame our beloved guilty pleasure Tavi doesn't really update The Style Rookie anymore. But having said that we can all still enjoy browsing through her archive.

In my despair I've found some other blogs, some other people that I really dig. Self-Contrusted-Freak is odd, yes, but in a great way. I actually love her. Half the clothes she wears I wouldn't dream of even owning but she gets cred for that.

And Who's That Girl? is Britains answer to Tavi, I think. Just twelve and I'm inspired by what she wears.

 

So although we can all grieve over Tavi's seeming dissaperence from the blogging world, have a look around and come back with some equally cool young girls.

 

 



 

The maxi.

I bought a maxi skirt today. Pictures can come soon, but I feel ill at the mo and look pretty awful so I'll put a hold on that. I was umming and ahing about what to wear with it, so I went on a little goole-browse and found some inspiration.

I'm thinking baggy jumpers, clunky, heeled shoes/Doc Martens, Tee shirts, and cardis.

I saw this film today. I cried and I laughed and I cringed and I gasped. But mostly I cried.

Monki is my latest discovery. It's a Scandi-chic fashion brand that I recently discovered online with possibly the most beautiful clothes I have ever set eyes on. And there really is no other word for them; beautiful sits just fine. In true Nordic style they sit loosely, simply and in minimal colours with minimal fuss. I have my eye on the Matsita Knit in a lovely soft grey for the winter winds that are coming our way.
